Biography

Cheryl Enever enjoys a hugely varied career as a singer, equally in demand in opera as on the concert platform. 


Her operatic rôles include the leading role of Joanna which she created for the ROH community opera, Ludd and Isis; Tatiana Eugene Onegin, Donna Anna Don Giovanni, First Lady Magic Flute, Katya (cover) Katya Kabanova for English Touring Opera; the title role in Tosca (London, Luxembourg, Bermuda Festival), Violetta (Bermuda Festival), Fiordiligi Cosi fan Tutte, Opera a la Carte; Rusalka; Mařenka The Bartered Bride, Kentish Opera; Elettra Idomeneo, Forestbird Productions; Countess Capriccio for the Strauss Society. For The Wagner Society she has performed Eva Der Meistersinger at the Linbury Theatre, ROH and a programme of Verdi, Wagner and Britten with Sir John Tomlinson.


She has become particularly associated with Verdi's Requiem (Cadogan Hall, Blackheath Concert Halls, Truro Cathedral, Stowe Chapel) and has also performed the Requiems of Dvořak (West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge), Brahms and Mozart (St John’s Smith Square, Cadogan Hall, King’s College Chapel, Cambridge) and his C Minor Mass, Solomn Vespers and Exsultate Jubilate (QEH); Mahler Second, Fourth and Eighth Symphonies (Bath International Festival); Mendelssohn Elijah (Cadogan Hall); Dvořak Stabat Mater (Musique Cordiale Festival, France); Rossini Stabat Mater and Messe Solonnelle; Beethoven Ninth Symphony and Mass in C (Rochester Cathedral); Fanshawe African Sanctus.


She currently studies with Arwel Treharne Morgan and works regularly with Lada Valešová, Jane Robinson and Ludmilla Andrew.
