British Soprano, Cheryl Enever her musical career as a 'cellist and then as a choral singer working a great deal with BBC Singers and in contemporary music. She also toured extensively with The English Concert, European voices and the OAE.
She studied with Janice Chapman and Jennifer Caron who guided her through her operatic training along with Philip Thomas, Ludmilla Andrew and Ian Page whilst working part-time in the city. She currently studies with Arwel Treharne Morgan, Jane Robinson and Lada Valešová.
Since her first opera contract with Diva Opera she has sung many major rôles both in the UK and overseas. Particular highlights include the leading role of Joanna which she created for the Royal Opera House community opera, Ludd and Isis; Tatyana, Eugene Onegin and First Lady, Magic Flute for English Touring Opera and the title rôle in Tosca with performances in London, Luxembourg and for the Bermuda Festival.
Her concert and Oratorio career include performances of Verdi's Requiem, with which she has become particularly associated, at Cadogan Hall, Blackheath Concert Halls, Truro Cathedral and Stowe Chapel. She made her South Bank debut with Mozart's Exsultate Jubilate and has since sung at most of the major concert halls in the UK.
